LionPlayer is a new Mac application that provides a service similar to the older VLC player software, which allows users of Macs to stream live videos from different websites to their Macs. The LionPlayer application can be downloaded free of charge. In order to download LionPlayer to your Mac, you need to have a free version of Airvideo installed and connected to the Internet. Once connected to the Internet, you should be able to find LionPlayer in the "Applications" folder on your computer.
LionPlayer has two basic features: a video player that let you view video from sites like YouTube, Hulu and Vimeo on your Mac; and an audio player, which let you listen to music files from your Mac computer or other portable media players like the iPod. To use the audio player, you need to plug the microphone into the output port on your Mac computer. The video player works with Mac computers running Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
LionPlayer can be used as a VLC player. To use it as a VLC player, launch Lionplayer, select the video that you want to stream, and click "Open." If the video does not load, quit the application and try again. You can also use this application to view media files through AirVideo.
